Cleaning Tempurpedic Beds

If you already have a tempur pedic bed system, you know the investment that was required for this bed system.  It is not a system that comes cheaply, and you will want to do everything you can to maintain it.  A natural question, especially with a mattress that is guaranteed for 20 years, is how to keep it looking nice and clean and new looking for the whole of this time period.

For the bed itself, you can wipe it gently with a damp cloth when you are cleaning Tempurpedic bed.  The best way to protect it however is to use a mattress pad and especially the official tempur pedic mattress pad that is available through traditional suppliers of these beds systems, as well as those online.  This cover is made of high tech material that is designed to work with your bed system, and it is also stain and spill resistant and resistant to allergens.  This is especially important if you have one of the models of the Tempur-pedic bed that do not have a removable and washable cover, as is the case with some of the pillow top and cashmere blended models.  You can easily add a mattress pad to this system.  Tempur-pedic pad washing is a rather easy process and it is recommended that you wash it in cold water and tumble dry it in a dryer with a cool setting.  It is also not recommended that you use chlorine or bleach.

The same care recommendations for the tempur pedic mattresses also apply to their pillows, which should also only be wiped with a damp cloth.  The cover of the pillow itself is removable and washable and you should use the same care procedures when you are cleaning Tempurpedic pillows as for the mattress pad above.

The tempur pedic pet bed is however another story.  You can wash this product and a Tempurpedic dog bed urine soaked clean is a very good possibility.  It is not likely that your pet bed will get soiled as it does come with a soft micro-suede cover that is water and stain resistant.  However if it does become soiled or urine soaked, you can remove the cover and wash it in cold water and dry it at a cool temperature in the dryer.  Air drying is however best, and it is not recommended that you use bleach or any other product on the cover.  Your pet will love this bed, especially if he is getting a little older and showing some signs of arthritis in the joints.
