The Tempurpedic bed is manufactured to meet the high standards of quality that you would expect from the manufacturer of the mattress that is the most comfortable in the world.  The bed starts with a strong frame made from one and a half inch by two inch angular iron side rails.  A double angle center support and heavy-duty steel girder construction adds strength and rigidity to the frame.  The frame is fitted with deluxe carpet style caster for easy movement.

On top of the frame is an advanced performance platform foundation. This platform is critical in order to achieve the full benefit and performance of your Tempurpedic mattress. The platform foundation is designed to provide strength and durability to your bed.  Constructed of durable medium density fiberboards with a nail-free design the foundation is specifically designed to provide the rigidity that your mattress needs.  The unique nail-free design eliminates squeak points that are common in other types of bed foundations. The construction is a series of interlocking cross braces that add stability to the foundation. Injection molded polypropylene resin corner braces provide for greater lateral support.

The foundation of your tempur pedic bed is covered with a luxurious MicroSuede material that gives the foundation and mattress combination the luxurious look you want in your bedroom. The top is covered with a non-skid material that prevents your mattress from moving around adding to the performance of the mattress.  Foundations are light weight so that moving your bed is easy and effortless.

Foundations come in either low or high profile styles.  The low profile is 5.25 inches in height and the high profile measures 9.25 inches.  Either style fits the basic bed frame. Each style can accommodate your Tempurpedic mattress and together will provide a sleep system that will give you the perfect night’s sleep that you desire. When Tempurpedic performs its quality tests they are performed on mattresses and foundations together as a complete system.
